Rarely do you find a musical force as versatile, dynamic and authentic as independent Canadian artist and music producer, Neel Dani.

Whether he’s getting you to dance, reflect or rock out, he hits you with a signature sound that’s uniquely him. A truly independent musician, Neel produces, composes, arranges, performs and engineers his own music. He's been making waves in the Toronto music scene with his energetic and engaging live shows, combining raw energy with a polished sound.

Classically-trained with a MA in Music (Ethnomusicology) and Hons. BFA in Classical Guitar & World Music Performance, Neel has a honed and refined artistic sensibility. His multi-faceted abilities and independent approach often draw parallels to the likes of Prince and Beck. He played over 15 instruments and a toaster oven on his debut EP, Better Late Than Never, which was mixed by L. Stu Young, engineer to none other than Prince himself.

Neel has since added mixing to his creative process, and considers it an important part of his sound. His latest release, the aptly titled 'Mixed Emotions' (EP) weaves through different stages of heartbreak across various sub-genres of modern rock, including indie, alternative and pop-punk. It opens with sadness and remorse on “Better Days”, and moves to confusion and frustration on “Jaded” and “Gone (What’s Goin’ On)”. It closes with "Lost & Found”, which juxtaposes the idea of finding oneself through the loss of someone else over upbeat and energetic indie rock. This is “breakup music redefined” (Disrupt Weekly), and Neel's been working hard on new music that continues where his last release left off.
